Shawn Wilcox has been an Illinois licensed hearing instrument specialist for the past 30 years. Shawn currently lives in his hometown of Benton Illinois with his wife Tammy and 2 daughters Kelsey and Kortney. Shawn had family in the hearing industry and followed in the profession becoming licensed 1992. He began his career working in Springfield Illinois and later relocated back home to Benton Illinois. Shawn has been working for a private practice commuting to Fairview Heights Illinois for the last 25 years. He decided to relocate to be closer to home and spend more time with his family, so he joined the Starkey family in March of 2021 working in the Marion and Effingham locations.
Shawn is passionate about working with the hearing impaired and strives to give each patient the best follow up care and excels in patient communications allowing each patient to achieve their best hearing outcome possible. Shawn when not working with patients can be found at home enjoying family time, on a lake fishing and working in his church on special events along with co-directing their Easter dramas each year.
